Designing for Mobile – Animation

Although it has been on my portfolio for a couple weeks already, there were still a few tweaks that had to be taken care of. However, here is the final version:

The animation is based on the first couple chapters of Barbara Ballard’s Designing the Mobile User Experience – and is targeted for students who are just getting into User Experience Design. This was a joint project together with Niek Dekker, Lemmy-Boy Hoogendoorn, and Gemma Vernooij.

(In response to my previous post ‘A great beginning‘ I’ve collected a couple more examples of great movie introductions)

The opening sequence of a movie definitely has to set the right tone; here are some of the most unforgettable.

A great beginning

I always have been a fan of clever movie title sequences, and when I watched The Kingdom I couldn’t help but marvel the amazing opening credits. To tell the best stories, you have to ensure you have taken your audience captive; and this is a great example of an introduction that does just that. Here the careful balance between typography, animation, film, and careful timing create a stellar example of a great movie introduction.
