[ to the tune of the Hokey Pokey ]
Put your turtleneck on,
take your turtleneck off,
Put your turtleneck on,
and shake it all about,
You do your hokey pokey and you leave us all in doubt,
Thats what it’s always about.

For some reason Apple news seems to travel on average 1.5-2x faster than other news.
To put things into perspective:

1. Speed of light
2. Speed of sound
3. Speed of Paris Hilton News
4. Speed of High School Gossip
5. Speed of Apple News
….etc
9. Speed of News
So chances are you already know that on Tuesday Steve Jobs held a keynote where he released the all new iMacs, iLife ‘08, iWork ‘08, refreshed the MacMini and the .mac services. Mr Jobs took the stage, razzled and dazzled us , but for some every keynote always ends up feeling like the opening lines of Tale of Two Cities.
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness”
The Good:
New iMac is beautiful
iLife ‘08 looks great
The Bad:
.mac service still sucks
I would tip my hat to Jobs for being one of the most successful people in the industry, but I just can’t help from feeling cheated on. Every keynote, together with millions of Apple fans, we cross our fingers with hope that Apple will turn rumors into reality, and fulfill our dreams

Hey everyone, today I decided that Piksels.com is going to be offering 2 months of free advertising (125×125 image ads) for a maximum of 3 websites.
If you’ve got an interesting website which you want me to advertise, just leave a comment below (make sure to fill in your email and http address so I can get back to you) and I will take a look at it.

After looking through everyone’s websites, I’ll pick out my 3 favourites and set up the ads.
The advertisements will be placed in the sidebar, replacing the “Network” section.
The ads will be images (jpg or animated gif) sized 125×125
(I’ll make my choice by August 13th)
Currently piksels.com getting about 1000-1500 uniques per day, and now that I am finding some more time to write again it is steadily increasing.
And if I some sites really are interesting I’ll mention them in my next post
Specifics:
- No illegal / adult / offensive content
- Preferably websites related to technology / web / etc…
- Direct link only (no forwarding)
- The advertisement will be hosted on my server
- The advertisement may be animated, but must not be annoying =)
- The advertisement must be visually appealing
- I retain the right to remove the advertisement
That’s it, hope you all had a good weekend =)

Today I came across quite an amusing flash game, Cursor Invisible. Just like we all have learned how to type without looking at the keyboard, this game tests our skills to click without seeing our cursor!
Check it out (Not recommended for laptop touch pad users or heaven forbid trackball mice!)

It is quite fun, and after all… I’ve been spending the majority of my life sitting behind my computer, hoping I would one day develop some uber-geek-super-power. I just wished it would have been somethig cooler than being able to click without a cursor!
(My record was 107 clicks..unfortunately after that it only starting getting worse and the bright flashes made me fear for epilepsy. I’m sure that hardcore gamers will score somewhere in the 200’s… )
